That bucket list though

For this assignment, we are to make a bucket list of things we want to do and why they are on your list.

I’ve made bucket list before, and for the most part have accomplished all of them. For example, I wanted to jump out of airplanes and now I do with the Army. When that wasn’t enough, I went skydiving. Then I became an Army Jumpmaster, so I could be the one getting people of of the aircraft. These are more goals than bucket list. Bucket Lists sometimes come off that things that may not happen or are too far fetched. Nope. If I want to do it, it’s getting done.

Here are some new goals:

1) See the northern lights in Norway.

This has been at the top of the list for some time. I could see them in other places, but I’ve always been fasinated with Norway. This is basically two goals.

2) Own my own dog park and shelter

There is a lot to this goal. I want to own a piece of land that serves as a dog park with a shelter on site. I currently volunteer with the local rescue, and its pretty much runs on the backs of fosters because they don’t have their own location. They are new and hopefully they will get something in the future. However, why the dog park and shelter? Well, have you ever been to an adoption event? You see the puppers and cats in crates and you really don’t know what their personalities are like in that environment. My mission with the dog park is to get these pups exercised, socialized, and ADOPTED by people who can take them for a walk and really decide if they want them. Sometimes dogs will get adopted and then returned because they weren’t the dog they interacted with at the pet store. It’s just sad.

3) Become a mom before I turn 40

How can this be on a bucket list? It’s normal to have kids, right?

I’m in my early 30s. My husband and I have always been career driven, and we don’t intend to stop. There will be sacrfices we will have to make in order to make this happen, but there will be a cutoff date. Ha. ]]

4) Go on trip around the world

I mean who doesn’t want to see the world? My husband and I have both been fortunate enough to travel with the military. Some places were greats, and others not so much. It would be great to visit every continent on our own.

5) Invent something.

This is probably the most far fetched item on my list. I don’t have any idea what I would invent, but I hope that when the day comes when I need something unavailable on the market that I’m smart enough to notice it, and create something that will be useful to everyone.
